Moses Taylor Hospital's Emergency
Department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a
week. The department is a modern technologically advanced department
which includes a triage room (where patients can be evaluated
to determine the severity of illness), medical/surgical emergency
room, observation area, surgical emergency room, six exam rooms,
an ENT room, eye emergency room, cast room, and x-ray area.
Our sincere wish is that you never have to visit us at Moses
Taylor's Emergency Department. But if an accident happens, rest
assured that you will receive prompt, professional and considerate
emergency treatment.
In many cases, an emergency requires urgent care. Contact your
physician for instructions on how to handle the situation. If
you or a loved one experiences a serious illness or a life-threatening
condition, get to the emergency department immediately.
If you must decide if a sick or injured person needs emergency
care, here are signs to recognize:
- Difficulty breathing
- chest or abdominal pain or pressure
- Dizziness, fainting or changes in vision
- Mental confusion of difficulty in walking
- Sudden severe pain or vomiting
- Bleeding that won't stop after 10 minutes
- A situation where you are alarmed by unusual symptoms
