Emergency Services
Moses Taylor Hospital's Emergency Services is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week to patients of all ages. Services include initiating life-saving procedures in all types of emergency situations, treatment of all medical and surgical problems, and evaluation of psychiatric episodes. Minor injuries and illnesses as well as chronic disease conditions are also treated in the department which includes a triage room for evaluation of patients to determine the severity of their illness, a medical/surgical room emergency room, and six examination rooms. Specialty rooms are equipped for ENT (ear, nose & throat) emergencies, eye emergencies, casting needs and an x-ray area.

Your care begins as soon as you enter the department. A registered nurse will evaluate the severity of your illness or injury and initiate your care. Caring professional nurses carry out physician orders and perform echo cardiograms and laboratory studies at your bedside.

The Emergency Department is equipped with its own 24 hour Radiology Suite, offering specialized studies such as CT Scans, ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine testing as well as traditional x-rays.
