Pediatric/Adolescent Unit
One of the most difficult experiences a family can
face is the prospect of a child being hospitalized. Moses Taylor
Hospital's 8-bed Pediatric/Adolescent Unit cares for patients
from birth to 18 years of age, focusing on the medical and emotional
needs of both family and child. Each pediatric nurse has been
specially trained in the needs of young patients providing pre
and post-operative teaching, pain control and family education.
To add to the comfort of each child, there are VCRs and electronic
games available for entertainment during the hours away from home.
Parents are encouraged to be an active participant in the care
of their children, with all the facilities of the unit available
for their use.
