Vascular disease, a condition that involves blockages
of the blood vessels that interfere with the blood's ability to
circulate, is very common in people age 65 and older. Because
of the complexity of the circulatory system, these problems can
occur at many locations within a person's body. To accurately
assess these problem areas for effective treatment, Moses Taylor
Hospital offers testing through the Vascular Diagnostic Center,
managed by Phoenix Cardiovascular, Inc.
The timely and efficient vascular ultrasound testing administered at Moses Taylor is available to both inpatients and outpatients. Vascular diagnostic tests performed at the center include cerebral studies to analyze blood flow in the carotid arteries and the brain, venous and arterial studies to measure flow in the arms and legs, and access site studies for dialysis patients.
