Hyperbaric Oxygen and Wound
Care Services
Patients with many different problems have benefited
fro HBO (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy). Some of the most common problems
are non-healing wounds (especially in diabetics), osteomyelitis
(bone infections), radiation injury to the bone or soft tissue,
decompression illness, and carbon monoxide poisoning.
HBO is a medical treatment in which the entire body is under increased atmospheric pressure and the patient breathes 100% oxygen. The treatment is administered in a pressurized chamber. It is proven effective for a number of medical and surgical conditions either as a primary treatment or in addition to other medical treatments such as antibiotics or surgery.
Moses Taylor Hospital is pleased to provide this treatment option for our outpatient community. For further information please contact the center at (570) 340-3151.
