But if you do, Moses Taylor Hospital's EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT is ready 24 hours a day to provide you or someone you love with the best in emergency care.

Before you even arrive, emergency personnel are in contact with a nurse in the EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT.

 
When you arrive, you are transported into the hospital.
  
While you are evaluated in “TRIAGE”, you are being REGISTERED by a family

member that may have accompanied you.

Depending on the reason for
your emergency visit, you
could be placed in the
OBSERVATION AREA,

CAST ROOM,
EYE EMERGENCY ROOM,

or
MEDICAL/ SURGICAL ROOM
Your NURSE begins taking
information to
help in the
diagnosis of
your problem,

 and then consults with the
PHYSICIAN on your treatment.

 




The UNIT SECRETARY
puts orders into the computer
for tests the physician ordered.

You could have an X-ray
in the
IMAGING
ROOM,
 Or have samples taken by a hospital
TECHNICIAN.

While you are being cared for,
those who came with you will
be waiting in the


WAITING AREA,

 
And the EMERGENCY
PERSONNEL are
restocking and re-packing
for another patient.
