MTH Salutes Returning Military Personnel
Recently some of
our employees returned home safely from active duty. We would
like to acknowledge their sacrifice and honor their dedication
to their responsibilities in the National Guard.

New Venues for Home Health Services
Home Health Services is always looking for new ways
to offer assistance in the community setting. Two new programs
recently undertaken by the department are proving valuable to
the local public - HomeLink and ECELS.
HomeLink is a new venture in employer health.
Headed by Patti Zaloga, Administrative Manager of Home HEalth
Services, this plan provides RN's to assist worker's compensation
patients. Nurses with the program accompany patients on doctor
visits and act as independent observers. the program reduces
waiting time on physician reports, ensures patient understanding,
and makes sure the necessary paperwork is handled in a timely
fashion.
ECELS (Early Childhood Education Linkage System)
seeks to improve the quality of health and safety in child care
programs. Betsy Guinan, RN and Maribeth Fife, RN, work in conjunction
with staff at day care and childcare facilities in 7 counties.
ECELS provides the best practices against recurring infection
and the spread of contagious illness by observing the day-to-day
activity then offering specific advice for each facility. The
program has received great response from the community and has
achieved excellent results in child care facilities.
